Reading response to Introduction

The main thing that I got out of this article is that writers are always responding to other writers texts, and trying to take their words and thoughts and rewriting it into something else. I liked Sylvia Scribner’s definition of rewriting. She calls it social practice and it is the use of tools to make a product or achieve an end.
I think that this unit will be much easier for me. I’m much better at looking things up on the internet than trying to figure out a community. I didn’t particularly enjoy the last unit, I got way too overwhelmed.
